So there was this song I heard a long time ago when I was visiting Jami. We were in her car driving home from The Big White House. Windows were rolled down and the sun was setting. I remember now that we had Pandora’s music on shuffle and this song came up. I never caught the lyrics or even the name of the song, but I really liked the tune.
I found the song yesterday.
It’s “The Best Is Yet To Come” by Sheppard.
The lyric video is here.
This has been floating around in my head for years. I can’t even tell you how thrilled I am that I found this. 😄
4th of July.
Myrtle Beach. (Jami though.)
McBee Road Trip.
Summer is over. I’ve loved every bit of sunshine, fun day, road trip, canning day, and any other day I didn’t have school ;). It’s been great. Our first summer in a new state, new area, new house (!), with new friends, as well as some old ones, has been fantastic. I still get homesick. Like, I miss my friends and I wish that I could hang out with them and make memories with them. I still get really sad some days. But, it’s better. I think I finally get what my mom and dad have been trying to tell me, “Make new memories. Make new friends.”
So here they are. My new memories.
This has probably been the most relaxing vacation ever.
My family took a trip to Orlando, Florida for a much needed week long vacation. It’s been wonderful. We did not go to Disney World this year. We didn’t have any plans to do anything or go anywhere, actually. But we did lots. We brought board games and movies. We met up with some of Mom’s friends and family. There was lots of swimming, a beach day, and two birthday celebrations. It was great!
Fresh ramen! I am never going back to instant ramen.
The Bacado. A bacon avocado omelet.
Happy birthday, E.
Ticket to Ride
It’s been a good week.
Five good vibes:
1. The drive here.
2. All the good food we ate this week.
3. NO. SCHOOL.
4. Those quiet times I had with Jesus in the late nights and early mornings.
5. The beach. Someone please take me back.
